Food & Hotel Myanmar (FHMM) 2019, the 6th International Exhibition for Food & Drink, Hotel, Bakery, Restaurant & Food Service Equipment, Supplies & Services returns 5th to 7th June to serve Myanmar’s growing food, hospitality and tourism industries at its new venue - Myanmar Expo.

Myanmar Expo is located at Fortune Plaza Yangon, which gives industry a new exhibition centre located next to downtown and providing easy access by road and public transport, ample and convenient parking together with excellent modern venue facilities. Food & Hotel Myanmar will once again showcase the latest products, trends & ideas, education & learning from over 100 exhibitors from 21 countries including 5 international pavilions, leading industry events and over 7,500 trade visitors are expected over the events 3 days.

Myanmar’s economy is forecasted to grow in which food and hospitality are major contributors to this trend with the F&B industry accounting for nearly 60% of the country’s business. There are exciting growth opportunities for companies in this space especially with the recent improvement of food safety and growing demand.

Myanmar has emerged as a worldwide tourist destination since opening up in 2012. There were 3.55 million foreign tourists in 2018, a 3.2% increase from the previous year. According to figures from the Hotel and Tourism Ministry in 2018, Myanmar had 1,590 hotels and guesthouses with a total of 69,370 rooms. The market is growing steadily due to demand and more competition from both local and foreign brands and business are targeting Myanmar for its undeniable future growth prospects.
